IIMs raise their cut-offs

Getting admission into India's top B-School - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has become no easy task with the raise in cut-off percentiles. IIM-Ranchi has highest cut-off of 99.66 percentile for the 2011-2012 batch. IIM-Calcutta followed with 99.59 percentile. IIM-Ahmedabad plans to call only those with 99 and above for personal interviews, provided they have 94 for each sectional score. Raising the pressure, IIM-Lucknow increased weightage of CAT scores from regular 30% to 37.5% along with fee hike from Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh. IIM-Kozhikode now gives 50% to CAT scores, 15% to GD and social skills, 25% to PI and 10% to writing task.
