Campus Recruitment Process

Campus Recruitment Process

The recruitment process differs from company to company, but the process is largely divided into three stages i.e, Written Test, Group Discussions & Personal Interview.

Written Test: Some companies conduct written test in two rounds i.e, aptitude & technical test. The aptitude test assesses the numerical, quantitative & verbal aptitude of the candidate, while the technical test assesses a candidate's knowledge on a specific domain or subject.

Group Discussion:
Most of the companies have GD session in their recruitment process, while few companies directly go for personal interview after written test. Group Discussion assesses the candidate's subject knowledge, body language, leadership quality, group behaviour & flexibility nature. Generally group of 6-10 members will be made for discussion. Interviewer may give a topic for discussion or may ask the group to select a topic. Marks will be alloted to the candidate based on parameters like Subject knowledge, Creativity & Originality, Voice, Body language, Eye contact, Analitical ability, Fluency, Initiative, Leadership, Group behaviour, Enthusiasm & Listening. Candidate should not wait for the opportunity but should make an opportunity to involve in discussion.

Personal Interview:
It comprise of technical & HR rounds. The technical round assesses a candidate on the subject know-how and the HR round assesses whether a candidate has the appetite to learn, the ability to work in terms, soft skills, cross-culture adaptability, flexibility & open mindedness. The personal interview stage also helps the company assess whether a specific candidate is the right cultural fit for the company. It is very important for a candidate to be aware of what not to say rather than what to say. Some of the companies like HCL, TCS etc... allows top performing students in academics to directly enter into GD and PI sessions by skipping written tests.

I wish all the best to the final year students
